The day after the Inauguration of our new President, the media began their “First 100 Days” countdown of the new presidency.

Apparently, President Obama has until May 1st to prove himself to the world (and probably a few planets revolving around us as well).

“What a great idea!” I thought. Why not apply The First 100 Days to each of our lives?

So, here’s what I’m doing: I set up several pages in my daily journal to track 100 days in MY business until May 1st.

I figure if we’re all expecting President Obama to do something fresh and innovative each and every day of his “100 Day” test, it’s only fair that we apply the same principle to our own businesses and lives. At the end of each day, I write what I achieved in short bullets. And no, this is not common practice stuff that I’ve been doing all along. I know I need to change up my business to meet the corrections and changes going on, and I suspect just about everyone out there wouldn’t do too badly considering the same.

These achievements are big steps, steps I’ve rarely or never taken in my business before. When May 1st comes along, the United States will definitely be in a different place – we all hope that will be a BETTER place. I already know from the progress I’m making that my business will be in a different (and definitely better) place, too. Consider doing the same!
